Darkspace - Dark Space -II
"DARKSPACE establishes contact with the earthlings yet again - an extensive aural manifestation materializes. Seemingly emerging out of the depths of a stellar-mass black hole, an otherworldly journey through the cosmos presents itself. With an icy-cold embrace and psychedelic conductance, the mysterious figures present ‘Dark Space -II’, a singular album of atmospheric black metal beyond human comprehension. Fractal electronic samples slice through layers of extraterrestrial drones, manifesting an immersive experience defying the boundaries of the conventional black metal genre. Vocal transmissions, like whispers from the outer reaches, seamlessly interwoven in the chilling mix, add a haunting dimension to the celestial configuration.
Humans, prepare to embark on a voyage beyond the known realms. DARKSPACE invites you to submerge into the enigmatic voids of ‘Dark Space -II’, where the frontiers of reality dissolve, and the otherworldly traces of black metal resonate with unparalleled intensity.
DARKSPACE beckons you. Come explore the vast unknown."

Premonições: Petrification - Sever Sacred Light
"Petrification's new single Twisted Visions of Creation is taken from upcoming album Sever Sacred Light, out on Svart Records in February 2024."
Arkhtinn -
Premonições : World-Eater - The Ravenous (single)
Single de avanço para World-Eater projeto que junta a Lena Abé de My Dying Bride, Dan Mullins dos mesmos MDB e The Deathtrip, Damien Park de Of Wounds...sonoridade pesadona e industrial ali a fazer lembrar uma mistura entre Triptykon e Godflesh.
Angrenost - Magna Lua Ordem Mística
Emerging from northern Portugal in the formative years of the second wave of black metal, Angrenost has been defined not by output but by its unorthodox evolution. With roots planted by Pursan and A. Ara, the project has been a vessel for exploring the evil within man, free from the constraints of the prevailing scene or current trends.
The reunion of Pursan with A. Ara, alongside Erdsaf and M. Skúlason, has yielded Angrenost’s most mature and inspired offering to date: Magna Lua Ordem Mística ("The Mystical Order of the Great Moon"). A work full of bygone tradition, elevated by a mastery of sound, as well as words and spirit that make it shine with a distinct light.
The album invites listeners to walk a contemplative path across the ephemeral nature of existence. It is a narrative of humanity’s voyage from the still waters of the immaterial plane into the mortal sphere of chaos and corruption – a world where the celestial bond fractures and the soul of Man encounters raw embodiments of the diabolical.
Magna Lua Ordem Mística stands at the crossroads of tradition and modernity, blending esoteric lore with the intricacies of composition. It represents a sincere and powerful display of everything that makes black metal an obscure and sinister art form.
Abyssal Rift - Extirpation Dirge
Abyssal Rift emerges from the bowels of hell with its debut-full length monstrosity, "Extirpation Dirge", a thirty six-minute miasmatic behemoth of dark and antihuman death-doom conceived by Columbus, Ohio-based multi-instrumentalist Matt Auxier (of industrial acts 6th Circle and Ash Prison) handling all instruments, songwriting and recording, with the exception of drums (performed and recorded remotely by David Mahoney of Irish black/grind terrorists Unyielding Love). The band is the manifestation of Auxier's long-running history as a metalhead and of his extensive appreciation (parallel to that for industrial music) for dark and atmospheric death metal bands like Incantation, Disembowelment and Immolation as well as for 60's and 70's prog bands like Goblin, King Crimson, Eloy, and Amon Düül II, which in the context of his expertise and knowledge as a producer and home studio owner, has yielded a dense and disorienting dark death metal beast shrouded in surreal atmospheres and an hallucinatory form of dirge-like experimentalism. An all-devouring obfuscation of abyssic crush depth, "Extirpation Dirge" seems horizonless and bottomless as it propagates and gravitates downward like a churning maelstrom, alternating moments of obliterating machine-like dark death metal destruction to others of misery-torn doom and cinematic widescreen experimentalism, with dense synth work alternating contemplative passages of clean guitars and ominous presages of spectral dark ambience.
Morne - Engraved With Pain
Grande album!!
Tetragrammacide - Typho:Tantric Aphorisms from the Arachneophidian Qur'an
The Indian sonic temple expand the extremes latent to their aesthetic, and draw them closer and most distant simultaneously, playing into the head-spinning and ouroboros-eating vortex of the album's themes itself. While the preceding full-length had its heart fixated on "Srishti Drishti Vada" - doctrine of perception through the creation - this new opus has sprouted itself under the Upanishadic tenets of "Drishti Srishti Vada": doctrine of the creation through perception and "Ajata Vada" - the radical doctrine of non-creation. State the band, "This way, the phenomena is completely negated, eliminated and rightfully renunciated under all possible situations of any given philosophical, esoteric and religious narratives!"

The Amenta - Plague of Locus
"Plague Of Locus" contains unique takes on tracks by local Black Metal curios NAZXUL and LORD KAOS, global alternative legends DIAMANDA GALAS, ALICE IN CHAINS and KILLING JOKE, and stylistically varied artists WOLF EYES, HALO and MY DYING BRIDE.
Excarnated Entity - Mass Grave Horizon
"NUCLEAR WINTER RECORDS is proud to present EXCARNATED ENTITY's highly anticipated debut album, Mass Grave Horizon, on CD, vinyl LP, and cassette tape formats.
EXCARNATED ENTITY was stillborn under lifeless skies in the year 2018. Originally hailing from Seattle, the quartet features current and former members of Anhedonist and Triumvir Foul. From the beginning, EXCARNATED ENTITY's aim has been to deliver desolate yet powerful death metal doom. They self-released their Stillborn in Ash demo in May 2019, which quickly caught the attention of various labels. It immediately got reissued on tape by Extremely Rotten Productions, followed by vinyl and CD reissues on NUCLEAR WINTER with new artwork/design and remixed audio.
In mid-2020, EXCARNATED ENTITY relocated to Portland, Oregon and underwent a handful of lineup changes before reaching their current formation. With the new lineup in place, work on their debut album was finally completed. Mass Grave Horizon paints a hopeless vision of the future, drearily dredging death metal's darkest depths and locating majestically miserable doom among those ominously bubbling landscapes. Following a two minute instrumental introduction, EXCARNATED ENTITY kick in with a classic downtuned death metal surge before gutting its underbelly, revealing the morose melodicism of earliest My Dying Bride and Paradise Lost. As the eight-song/44-minute album plays on, its attendant song titles vividly illustrate said vision - "Carcinogen Shroud," "Corridor of Flame," and "The Butcher's Pulpit" among them - and one can further detect shades of Trouble, Cathedral, Solitude Aeturnus, and even Lycia lurking within those ruins. It's a massively dense-yet-spacious sound, and the quartet's songwriting suitably incorporates slow twists of the knife, but always in a deliberate and linear fashion. And, come climactic closer "Gallery of Defeat," your fate is sealed and your soul spent...and EXCARNATED ENTITY stand stoic, unmoved and unmovable. "

Adversum - Vama Marga
" “Vama Marga” speaks in tongues with doomish, blazing and epic soundscapes to the infernal regions of the heart. ADVERSVM’s magnum opus to date invokes 10 anthems of left-hand-path apotheosis, Nietzscheism and traditional Satanic power. Creeping with shadowy cold darkness, atmospheric interludes collide with utterly crushing and mesmerizing death / doom metal. “Vama Marga” is an atmospheric journey from slow depths to raging fires and back into the icy abyss of the soul.
Witness ADVERSVM’s Apocalyptic Awakening!"
Sektarism - Et Facta Est Lux
"Just like our previous works, a dynamic of improvisation remains at the core of our creative endeavors. The process has been enriched by numerous additions of instruments and sounds, brought by the fresh blood that has joined our congregation as well as this unique place that is the Kerwax studio. The sound palette of Sektarism has thus evolved, heaviness being still at the heart of the orchestration. “Et Facta Est Lux” continues our work with a sense of greater maturity and mastery while retaining that element of insecurity and urgency that is inseparable from the context of improvised live recordings.
Some will find light in it, while others will find darkness. For us, it is the very essence of who we are. This work is the result of hard labor and has been born out of pain. For without that, can we truly speak of Art?"
Reverence to Paroxysm - Lux Morte
"Forming in 2020 and with a split and live album already under their belts, Mexico City’s Reverence to Paroxysm are unveiling their debut album “Lux Morte” via Me Saco Un Ojo Records and Dark Descent Records
Taking a viciously old school approach with disgusting riffs contorting upon pulverising drums, this macabre descent into decay shall grip you from the very earliest moments. Gurgling vocals spew eldritch slime upon the meaty instrumentals with thick bass lines giving a chunky low end to the sound. Taking all of the most morbidly revolting elements of underground Death Metal, Reverence to Paroxysm bludgeon their way into your skull with fleshy hammer blows. The talents of frontman Antimo Buonnano, previously from Death-Grind legends Disgorge among many others, brings a veteran element to the band, injecting their abhorrent legacy into his latest involvements. The slower moments will drag you through the sepulchral dirt while more upbeat assaults thrash the meat from the bone like a bladed whip of sonic poison. The gloomy dynamics, visceral hooks and brutal execution will mercilessly execute all in their path and you would be a fool not to submit to Reverence to Paroxysm…
Eerie soundscapes entwine with putrescent primitive pounding, giving a rancid and yet atmospheric listen. The more you delve into this record, the more subtle nuances you will find scattered throughout which add texture and detail while falling into the monstrously cataclysmic feel of the entire piece very naturally. Although an odiously primal energy is draped across this entire record, there are some very cleverly placed and unusual riffs that give a very unique and interesting feel to things as they cut through thundering bass or the razor sharp cymbal work. The sparse vocals perfect play off of the instrumental parts to give the band this dense, foggy and oppressive sound. If you are of the school of Death Metal lover who needs subterranean riffing, crackling bass, bone-splintering drums and disgusting but varied vocals, then waste no time in checking this record out. So proceed with caution and succumb to the fetid, decaying world that is presented and be soaked in the rotten tapestry Reverence to Paroxysm have woven for you and prepare to be crushed by it."
Barbelith - Deathless Master
"The inner eternal of spotless visions
I see the vastness of worlds inside
Flashes of onyx & sapphire
Completing circles of a universe spiraling into endless tunnels
I see the conclusion
Where life ends & begins
The line is thin
It’s the inner eternal of the absolute"
Hallucinate - From the Bowels of the Earth
"Formed in 2021 and featuring members of Graveyard Ghoul and Karloff, HALLUCINATE quickly set to work to work on their first public recording, the two-song Demo '22. Even at this early stage, HALLUCINATE's sound was already exhibiting a unique flair: despite working within the realms of death metal, something strange was brewing there. Not for nothing were the band monikered as such; flourishes of heavy, dark psychedelia and prog swirled about in their murky cauldron.
Now that cauldron is set to boil over with HALLUCINATE's full-length debut, From the Bowels of the Earth. As vocalist / lead guitarist Persecutor explains, "From the Bowels of the Earth sprung forth from a very tough psilocybin experience right before the onset of the pandemic. It almost broke me mentally; I wasn't prepared for it at all. I started writing the songs in an attempt to put myself back together, trying to integrate that experience. It was a very dark and intimidating display of ancient powerful archetypes haunting me with synchronistic, apocryphal, and soul-crushing revelations - not the funky-shmunky colorful hippie shit most people associate with this stuff. So a psych-stricken, kinda-prog death metal record felt most natural to tell the story, where each song represents a stage of the trip with its physiological, psychic and spiritual implications."
Indeed, just a cursory glance at the album's attendant song titles - and in particular, the triumvirate of "Blackened Gills," "Black Smokers," and "Mahavishnu's Dream" - will tell you this is NOT going to be a Normal Death Metal Record. Yet, just the same, HALLUCINATE's idiosyncratic muse is one that's thoroughly integrated into their aesthetic - as rough-hewn as true death metal should be, but subtly (and sometimes not-so-subtly) stirred with an alchemist's touch - rather than retrofitting mawkish elements in a shallow show of "weirdness." It all starts with strong songwriting, is pushed forward with loose & locked-in execution, and then is embellished with tasteful touches of said psychedelia and prog, either in the solar-flaring leads or in dramatic-yet-smooth breaks. Further, From the Bowels of the Earth sees HALLUCINATE moving at many speeds, instilling many sensations along the way - foremost among them, comfort in dissonance and nature mysticism by way of suspended release - but always with the rumbling crush of classic '90s death metal. Nods could be made to Sweden's Seance and Desultory in the past or Chapel of Disease and Gold Spire in the present, but perhaps no better recommendation could come than with a guest vocal appearance by Sweven's Robert Andersson (of course, also ex-Morbus Chron). "
Mórnu - The Unearthly Becomes Inherent
"An occult EP that blends black metal with death-doom metal. The first chapter deals with the disciple's ordeals on his path of transformation to awaken the Dark Divinity. The EP ends with an act of Theophaneia and the disciple's ascension beyond the veil of structured cosmos."
Isolant - Drain
"The new EP from American/international obscure industrial metal project Isolant, and the band's first new release of original material in over seven years since their defining self-titled 2015 debut demo tape. Formed by original member Max Furst (Malleus, The Watcher, ex-Morne) on guitars, bass and drum programming, and now rounded out by vocalist M. Alagna (Abstracter, Atrament, Ash Prison, Somnolent) and Spanish noisemaker M. Souto (Suspiral, Sepelio, S.E.K.H., Arkaik Excruciation, Excurse, ex-Bodybag), "Drain" sees the elusive experimental metal act fuse the cold and bleak industrial metal of acts like Spine Wrench, Godflesh, Scorn ("Vae Solis" era) and Skin Chamber with the atonal percussive grimness of early Swans, and the crawling heaviness and abysmal atmospherics of death-doom. Subtle stenchcore and crust influences permeate the work throughout, reaffirming the band's conceptual connection and stylistic affinity to a glorious age of British heavy punk and experimental metal that dominated 90's underground music. The result are 6 lightless tracks of misery-infused, death-worshipping, and spine-breaking downtuned crush-depth clad in enveloping atmospherics and scarred with an immanent sense of hopelessness and doom."
Ascended Dead - Evenfall of the Apocalypse
"Ascended Dead return like abyss winds surging skyward from the ninth circle of Hell. New album ‘Evenfall of the Apocalypse’ heralds the dawn of the final march to extermination via barely-controlled Death Metal chaos and form-destroying necromancy.
Ascended Dead play Death Metal the ancient way with an intrinsically malign pedigree and methodical cruelty scarcely heard nowadays. Flesh-peeling intensity at warp-speed, technically-frenzied leads that cut straight through bone and a relentless annihilating force that rarely ceases long enough to take a breath. Yet amidst this fiery conflagration a wholly deliberate and fanatical attention to detail and craft remain undeniable, allowing the pandemonium a distinct structure and memorability.
While the band has more than enough skill and ability to perform a darkly acoustic piece like ‘Passage to Eternity’, a rare moment of respite, repeated spins through ‘Evenfall of the Apocalypse’ only serve to perpetuate Ascended Dead’s inexorable place at the vanguard of violent real Death Metal, carrying the banner into the future."
Tumulation - Savage Blood Domain (ep)
Only Death Is Real!!
Sanctuarium - Into the Mephitic Abyss
Rotted Death Doom coming from the Mephitic Abyss.
Barcelona’s SANCTUARIUM present their full length debut album to follow the highly acclaimed “Cadaveric Reminiscense” 2021 demo (later reissued in 12” vinyl as split LP by Death Mace Records).
From the sick and twisted artwork by own Necrohelm to the downtuned foul and putrid riffs and rythms of the four long songs featured, SANCTUARIUM offers a massive debut album of cavernous Death Metal, with predominance of necro doom passages and a constant feeling of rottenness and despair.
Not affordable for weaklings or hipsters but highly recommended for all fans of the real putrid sound of bands as Rippikoulu, sickest Autopsy, early Evoken, Disembowelment… A thirty-five minutes asphyxiating trip to the Mephitic Abyss..
Yskelgroth - Bleeding of the Hideous
Velar - Os Anjos Não Velam Os Mortos
Into Darkness - Cassini - Huygens
"Ellereve's music is an ode to melancholy, fragile but still powerful. With haunting vocals, Ellereve takes you through dreamy and dark soundscapes. Her sound is a confluence of electronic beats, atmospheric synths and reverb-laden guitars, coming together to create a captivating and magical mood."
Altari - Kröflueldar
Intenso!!
Menstrual Vampires - Menstrual Vampires
"The most vile, repugnant and disgusting death metal of the year. Influenced by the foul and demented “Shitfun” era of Autopsy and the classick brutality of Immortal fate and other repulsive demo metal acts from the golden years of Death Metal past. Featuring one of the most prolific luminaries of US extremity, the unholy blasphemer Xasthur, returning to his roots creating dark fucked up and deranged Death Metal. Valentines will be extra bloody this year as we unleash the debut from Menstrual Vampires!"
Tribunal - The Weight of Remembrance
"Tribunal’s debut is an essential addition to the modern Doom canon, one which can expand in infinite musical directions from a base of crushing tragic heaviness and forlorn purpose. In that sense ‘The Weight Of Remembrance’ has the accomplished atmosphere of a band beyond their years in the scope and execution of its vision."
Mansion - Second Death
"Strange, dark atmosphere with an esoteric touch, captivating, hovering, majestic, icy but not at all boring this album is monstrous!"
Vosbúð - Heklugjá
Begotten amidst the wasteland of fire and ice through the conception of uncompromising Volcanic Black Metal: A spelean loophole intricating the grand eerie chasms leading those forlorn and odd ones in pursuit of the self and mysteries of the Earth; An impulse of heathen fervor and fiery craftship striving the tainted thought of the postmodern mood.
